Not so much

Just checked my e-mail and saw this week’s copy of PACE’s “Moving into the Future,” which is described as “The Weekly Newsletter from America’s Most Efficient Suburban Transit Agency.”

I received six copies.

How efficient of them.

That sounds like the PACE I know. They spend BIG bucks doing small things. It’s one transit organization that should be eliminated. Imagine the money that could be directed elsewhere.

The previous poster has me befuddled…since when does sending six emails cost more than sending one email?

I would think PACE is SAVING money by emailing the report, rather than sending it via the post office (postal charges, you know).

The previous poster must work for the CTA, because they like to overcount things (like passengers), spend money on things that really don’t cost anything, and accuse PACE of wasting money.

    Friday flame fest!

I think you missed the point of the first comment. While it’s less expensive to send an e-mail than it is to use the postal service, sending six copies to one address seems wasteful, unless, of course, a government employee is doing the sending. Then it might be labeled efficient or something on those lines.

Sending more than one copy of the report to the same person doesn’t match my definition of efficient. But then I don’t work at either the CTA or PACE.

So the sky really ISN’T falling?

    Bummer.

Unless somebody sits there and types in Rich’s address 6 times for each newsletter, the electronic newsletters are usually sent automatically to the persons on a list.

To Rich: How many different email address of yours where the emails sent to? If it is the same one, then one has to wonder.
