Everyone knows that mere lightning can’t stop the mouth of Senator Rickey Hendon (nor can anything else we can think of)!

two of the State House elevators are out of commission, the Senate sound system is out, the House video kept bouncing around its titles — there is a long history of a ghost in the Governor’s Office. Perhaps it is a poltergeist who only acts up when the current governor is in the building!

…It was a dark stormy night around old Springfield & the old capitol looked especially stark and haunted. Only a small night light in the executive office cast a glow. The faint howling of a lobbyist in the distance could heard & all at once a big bolt of lightning struck, lit up the sky & the faint form could be seen making its way toward the door ….MY God …could it be , why, it’s the governor !!!!

  33. - Anonymous - Thursday, Apr 6, 06 @ 7:15 pm:

“What are you doing here?” a female voice screamed.

“I work here,” came the reply. “At least I think, it doesn’t look that familiar with the lights off.”

“Come one step closer and I’ll call the cops! Better yet, Congresswoman McKinney’s new abs of steel bodyguard.”

“Look lady, this is my office!” the male voice croaked as he made his way through the smoke-filled room.

Suddenly, with power restored lights flicker back into illumination casting away dispersions as well as shadows.

    “Judy! You haven’t won yet.”

“Shut up Rod. Go fly a kite!”
