Oh, this is just too funny.

The back-story is here. Apparently, Seth Arkin of Turn DuPage Blue ran into the guv at a Cubs game.

No, I’m not giving him the “Loser” sign. I’m saying #1, as the Cubs had just won a great game.

Have fun, but let’s go easy on Seth, please. Thanks.

Blaggo looks a little bleached out. Hope Mary Makeup was coming by before he heads back to SPI to finish up the session.
How did get those big bags under the eyes?

Look what happens after spending only a couple of days in Springpatch. If he spends a couple of more days Blago will look like the creaper

  9. - Jechislo - Monday, Jul 16, 07 @ 12:38 pm:

The ‘L’ is for LIBERAL, not loser. It doesn’t look like Rod was made to stop drinking at the end of the 7th inning like all the rest of us peons have to do.

  10. - Jason - Monday, Jul 16, 07 @ 12:53 pm:

Wow…that $600 make up job didn’t seem to take.

  11. - Rich Miller - Monday, Jul 16, 07 @ 1:00 pm:

People, let’s take it easy on the booze and drug references, OK? Thanks.

  12. - Concerned Voter - Monday, Jul 16, 07 @ 1:04 pm:

Wow the guv with a buzz on, but it’s okay. At least he has a designated flyer to get him back safely to Springfield and personal makeup service to take care of those bags under the eyes, wow she really earns her money.

  13. - Concerned Voter - Monday, Jul 16, 07 @ 1:06 pm:

Sorry bout the buzz comment Rich, was typing mine up as you were posting.

Governor R-Blag certainly proves once and for all that he is always willing for a photo op, even when he probably shouldn’t.

  17. - irishpirate - Monday, Jul 16, 07 @ 1:33 pm:

Apparently Seth is describing the Governor’s testicular virility after standing next to him at a trough.

  18. - Concerned Citizen - Monday, Jul 16, 07 @ 1:40 pm:

Guess it was a day game. No flights from Clark & Addision to the homestead at night….

  19. - Woo-woo - Monday, Jul 16, 07 @ 1:41 pm:

So now we know why the Gov broke his special-session-every-day-until-there’s-a-budget pledge and agreed to give the legislators a day off.

I suppose he flew to Chicago on Saturday and back to Springfield today at a cost of $6,000 in taxpayer dollars, just so he could attend a Cubs game.

  20. - FED UP - Monday, Jul 16, 07 @ 1:54 pm:

now we all know why the gov has his own make up person on the state payroll.Blago looks like a young ted kennedy dont get in a car with him seth.

  21. - Mr. CUB - Monday, Jul 16, 07 @ 1:54 pm:

    Let’s play too.

  22. - ZC - Monday, Jul 16, 07 @ 2:04 pm:

Calling for all Cubs fans to rise up versus Madigan, governor mistakenly lobbies White Sox fan.

  23. - Papa Legba - Monday, Jul 16, 07 @ 2:05 pm:

Why does Rod look so hot and sweaty? Has everybody turned their backs on him? Certainly those with air conditioned sky boxes must have.

  24. - downhereforyears - Monday, Jul 16, 07 @ 2:26 pm:

So much for staying in Spfld until we get the job done. I hope all of the sate employees, school children and service providers for the needy keep this in mind when he threatens to shut govt down at the end of the month. Hey Rod, I got it,maybe what we need to do to keep you in Spfld is to call a special session on how well Zambrano has done since Barrett left town.

  25. - Hardtop - Monday, Jul 16, 07 @ 2:28 pm:

Seth amateur ventriloquist, shows off his new dummy at the ballpark. But the dummy won’t cooperate, it won’t move it’s lips either.

  26. - DOWNSTATE - Monday, Jul 16, 07 @ 2:29 pm:

Bend over gov I want to see if your brain really is up there.

  27. - Ron Burgundy - Monday, Jul 16, 07 @ 2:30 pm:

Rod does look a little hot under the collar. You can see the sweat stains on his shirt! But boy, he sure does have one damn good head of hair.

  28. - Anonymoose - Monday, Jul 16, 07 @ 2:35 pm:

    Which one is Seth?

  29. - Just Saying - Monday, Jul 16, 07 @ 2:37 pm:

And what was the ventriloquist saying? “Read my lips, no new taxes.”

  30. - Anon - Monday, Jul 16, 07 @ 2:47 pm:

“Look - here’s a vote for the GRT! I feel the tide turning!”

  31. - anonymous - Monday, Jul 16, 07 @ 3:28 pm:

no offense, Governor, the L is for Lou. he knows how to throw a fit, too

  32. - Bluefish - Monday, Jul 16, 07 @ 3:39 pm:

Blago - “Boy, I really need a shower.”
    Seth - “I’ll second that.”

  33. - Mr. W.T. Rush - Monday, Jul 16, 07 @ 3:42 pm:

Hey anyone seen Blaggo today? No cops outside the office. Some think he has not made down today
    Too much Bball?

  34. - so-called "Austin Mayor" - Monday, Jul 16, 07 @ 3:46 pm:

Is it just me or does it look like the photo was snapped in the middle of Mr. Arkin saying, “Hold on a sec — Don’t take my picture with this goof!”

    – SCAM

  35. - Marbley - Monday, Jul 16, 07 @ 3:51 pm:

It’s nice to see the Guv happy. The guy on the left looks like he is in pain tho ? I see the Guv is finally getting his way. Go Cubs!

  36. - Say WHAT? - Monday, Jul 16, 07 @ 4:04 pm:

Mary should have given the Gov advice on which colors flatter his skin tones/ hair color, and which ones make him look washed out. Light blue on the Gov isn’t flattering. Royal blue yes. Pale colors are a NO NO, unless he wants to look like corpse. That was free.

  37. - Ghost - Monday, Jul 16, 07 @ 4:28 pm:

    Quarter beer night

  38. - winco - Monday, Jul 16, 07 @ 4:29 pm:

Next time, Seth, just call Security. They’ll get that guy outta here. You don’t have to put up with that. Some people think a ticket to a ball game gives them a license to do whatever they want, like butt their way into somebody’s picture, etc. They need to know that’s just not true.

  39. - KenoMan - Monday, Jul 16, 07 @ 4:41 pm:

HotRod would probably get a better night’s sleep at the Mansion………..

  40. - Shadoobie - Monday, Jul 16, 07 @ 5:03 pm:

Seth: “Okay, governor. One more time. L is for….?”

Gov: “Who are you people and how did I get here?”

  42. - chicityjohn - Monday, Jul 16, 07 @ 5:28 pm:

    That doesn’t look like a $600 haircut.

  43. - Disgusted - Monday, Jul 16, 07 @ 5:50 pm:

Rich, stop these pictures. You’re scaring the children.

  44. - Squideshi - Monday, Jul 16, 07 @ 6:00 pm:

So THAT’S what Blagojevich looks like without the makeup, or is all the stress just getting to him?

Operation Turn DuPage Blue, huh? Hmmm…

  45. - Little Egypt - Monday, Jul 16, 07 @ 6:10 pm:

Hey Rod, you just broke political rule #1 - Never let ‘em see ya sweat! And where or where is Trooper Hairbrush?

  46. - LMAO - Monday, Jul 16, 07 @ 6:13 pm:

Good Lord would you look at that sweat ring around the neck of Blago’s shirt. No wonder he seldom does press conferences. There’s not enough anti-perspirant to keep this guy cool, but then we’ve all figured that out by now. Get a budget Rod and stay home from the State Fair. You look way too frazzled when the heat is on, inside or outside.

  47. - NIEVA - Monday, Jul 16, 07 @ 6:23 pm:

    WILL YOU BE MY FRIEND?

  48. - to Squideshi - Monday, Jul 16, 07 @ 6:45 pm:

I don’t think that he realizes he should be under stress. On the upside, we did save $600 bucks on makeup. No manly, man should leave home without it.

  49. - City Voter - Monday, Jul 16, 07 @ 8:25 pm:

Seth: “He only mentioned work this many times.”

  50. - Concerned Voter - Monday, Jul 16, 07 @ 10:00 pm:

What you don’t see is the guys hand behind Seth, with a gun pushed into Seth’s back saying, “Smile, the guv wants a nice photo op with a Cubs fan!”

  51. - Mark - Monday, Jul 16, 07 @ 10:07 pm:

    Man…..what was he thinking.

  52. - Papa Legba - Monday, Jul 16, 07 @ 10:15 pm:

A picture is worth a thousand words.

This is photographic proof his hair does move.

  53. - Reformed - Monday, Jul 16, 07 @ 10:23 pm:

“Hey Seth, how many full days has the Governor worked since he took office?”

  54. - southsang1 - Monday, Jul 16, 07 @ 11:32 pm:

Guess the Daley Show isn’t the only thing the Gov has never hear of

  55. - Ahem - Tuesday, Jul 17, 07 @ 9:00 am:

“Yes, Rod, the Cubs will be up for sale. No, Rod, the money will not go to the deficit!”
