Cramer is about selling his services and looking for additional viewers. Anyone who follows his advice about investing is madder then him. Total crackpot. He reminds me of most political consultants. Don’t know squat.

The agency that is providing low cost meals to seniors provides meals to those “sixty years and
    older??”

In a country where we are poised to elected our first woman president (who will be sixty or nearly so when she takes office and will likely not leave office until she is 68) I am having a little trouble seeing sixty year olds as in need of help with meals as opposed to, say, fifty year olds, forty year olds.

Sorry to all those do-gooders out there, but sixty doesn’t mean decrepit, folks, much as many do-gooders and nonprofits and government-agency-expanders would like to have it so.

Maybe the senior meal agency should target real seniors instead of trying to expand the definition of senior

  3. - Deep Pockets - Tuesday, Jul 31, 07 @ 9:14 am:

Now what happened to all that money Daley made selling the Chicago Skyway? Chicago’s 2008 budget picture not pretty: $217 mil. short!
Wonder if the Olympic people are paying attention to all this?
Same same thing will happen to Illinois if Blagojevich is permitted to sell any of Illinois’ assets.

  4. - Fess Up! - Tuesday, Jul 31, 07 @ 9:23 am:

Regarding - “Blagojevich Says He Wants New Lawyer”
Who’s paying for this? My guess is the Illinois taxpayers.
How much of the state’s funds has Governor Blagojevich used to date.

  5. - Women's Room - Tuesday, Jul 31, 07 @ 9:36 am:

Governor Blagojevich forgets he is a “Public Servant” and those subpoenas are our business.

  6. - Cassandra - Tuesday, Jul 31, 07 @ 10:14 am:

Giuliani can’t win in the general. His, uh, romantic history is just too off-mainsteam.

Read Vanity Fair’s new takedown piece on Judith Giuliani. When this stuff gets out to mainstream America, it’s all over for Rudy. And there’s not time to put in a new Mrs. G. In fact, a wife #4 might make things worse.

Biggert and Weller should have done their homework. Republicans do claim the family values high ground, after all.

Looks like smooth sailing for the Dems in 2008,
    already.

  7. - Reddbyrd - Tuesday, Jul 31, 07 @ 11:10 am:

The mopes in the mortgage industry must be disappointed. IL just missed the top ten. Come on guys lets step up those sleazy deals and make IL first next time.

The Gov will go on an opinion shopping trip until he finds one that agrees with him. We need to strive for 50% fewer attornies.

  9. - Shallow Pharnyx - Tuesday, Jul 31, 07 @ 2:22 pm:

Maybe we have to hit the m$ll$on mark before we get a budget.
