I suspect they’ll send Burris to federal court to have him work to overturn the Senate Rule requiring the signature and seal on the Certificate of Appointment as an unconstitutional extra qualification for becoming a member of the U.S. Senate. Reid and Durbin will be put in a box to either waive the requirement, or defend in court the 200+ year old rule that has never been waived before; according to Durbin. This will bring the issues full circle to where it started; with Durbin, immediately after Burris appointment, when he called for a Special Election.
